Thank you for your interest in purchasing our software! This FAQ covers some topics related to the registration and licensing of our products. You can find answers to technical questions in the support area.

What is your license model?

The Professional and Enterprise Editions are sold as perpetual licenses. This means that the software is licensed for life and you can use it forever. All purchases include a 12-month maintenance package (support and upgrades) which is renewable according to the upgrade policy.

The Basic Edition is sold as an annual subscription. This means that after one year your license will expire and you will no longer be able to use it. To use it again you need to buy a new annual subscription.

Can I use one license for desktop and laptop?

A product license can be installed on a single computer. However, we offer a special permit for professional or enterprise single user licenses that entitles you to deploy the product on both desktop computers and portable, laptop, or other mobile computers, as long as they are not used at the same time.

When will I receive the registration key after purchasing the software?

We will send the software activation key via email within a maximum of 24 hours (usually within one hour) after your order has been processed by share-it and payment has been received. If you have not received the license information email within 24 hours of processing your order, please contact our sales department (but don't forget to check your SPAM folder first).

I purchased your software a month ago and a newer version was released. Is it necessary to pay again to get the latest version?

No, you do not have to pay again. According to our upgrade policy, if you are a registered user of our product, you can get all upgrades of the product for free within 12 months from the date of purchase, depending on the license you purchased. After this period you can renew your license for the next 12 at a discount.

I want my license to be refunded, is that possible?

We offer free, fully functional trials for all of our editions. So when you buy a product, you confirm that you have tested it and are completely satisfied with the current version.

Unlike physical goods, electronically distributed software and software licenses can be duplicated. Once a license has been granted it is not possible for us to recall all copies. Therefore, we do NOT accept product returns or exchanges.

We use the Informix® Embedded Database Server for our customers, is the access using Database Explorer allowed?

Unfortunately, access to the database with third-party products is not permitted. For this reason we offer branded versions of the Database Explorer for software manufacturers. It is also possible to integrate the meta information for tables and fields directly into the software. Contact us if you are interested in your own Database Explorer Brand.
